I just downloaded the World of Warcraft trial (I already have the game, but one of the CD's didn't work right during installation, so I decided to download the trial), because a friend of mine (who is a really hot chick) wants to play it with me. However, I do not know what her World of Warcraft username is or what realm she plays on. Can I play with her no matter what realm I join? And if not, can I switch realms to the one she plays on?

No, you can't play with her from a different realm. And no, you can't switch. You have to make a whole new character from what I remember from playing WoW.
